Key Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the Logistics Officer, the Driver will be responsible for: Transporting harvested crops from farms to designated collection and storage points; Transporting produce from storage facilities to markets and other authorized destinations; Operating the KIA double-cab pickup vehicle in full compliance with traffic laws and road safety regulations; Ensuring the safety and security of passengers, goods, and the assigned vehicle at all times; Carrying out routine daily vehicle inspections, including checks of fuel, oil, water, tires, brakes, and lights; Promptly reporting any mechanical issues, damages, or maintenance requirements; Maintaining accurate vehicle logbooks and transportation records; Following approved routes and instructions provided by the Project Manager; Supervising and assisting with the proper loading and unloading of goods; Keeping the vehicle clean, well-maintained, and in good operating condition; Complying with Good Neighbors Cameroon’s safety policies and the national Highway Code; Performing any other transportation and logistics-related duties assigned within the project. Qualifications and Experience Applicants must: Hold a valid Category B driving licence; Have a minimum of five (05) years of professional driving experience, particularly in the transportation of goods; Demonstrate experience driving pickup trucks; experience with double-cab vehicles will be an added advantage; Possess a good knowledge of the road network and rural tracks within Akoeman Subdivision and surrounding areas; Be willing to work flexible hours according to project transportation schedules; Be available during project harvesting, collection, and transportation periods. Required Personal Qualities Successful candidates should demonstrate: Punctuality and reliability; Discipline and attention to detail; A strong sense of responsibility; Respect for safety procedures and regulations; The ability to work effectively with farmers and project teams; Respect for organizational assets and equipment; Good knowledge of the local area; Integrity, professionalism, and a positive work ethic. Duty Station and Working Conditions The assigned vehicles will be stationed at the Good Neighbors Cameroon Office in Mbalmayo. Drivers will be deployed according to project needs and the schedule of produce collection and delivery activities. Remuneration and other employment conditions will be specified in the employment contract, in accordance with the policies of Good Neighbors Cameroon and applicable Cameroonian labour regulations.
